Safeguarding

At Elmley Castle C.E First School we recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued.

Everyone plays an important role in safeguarding children and child protection forms part of these responsibilities. Therefore, we are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support and justice.

Within our school safeguarding includes:

  • Child Protection
  • Online Safety
  • Preventing Radicalisation
  • Safer Recruitment of Staff
  • General Security and Safety of the School Buildings
  • Medical Policies and Procedures
  • Health & Safety and Educational Offsite Visits

"Relationships are underpinned by a deep understanding of dignity and respect, creating an environment of safety and trust in which pupils thrive. Children feel safe, valued and empowered to grow."
