British Values
The fundamental British values are:
Democracy
A culture built on freedom and equality, where everyone is aware of their rights and responsibilities.
The rule of law
The need for rules to make a safe, secure and happy environment to live and work.
Individual liberty
Protection of your rights and the rights of others around you.
Mutual respect and tolerance
Understanding that we all don't share the same beliefs, values and ideas.
These values are entwined throughout our curriculum and are actively lived out through our daily lives.
"Topical issues and big questions are sensitively designed and explored to embrace diversity and challenge the children to think beyond their experience. As a result, pupils are advocates for change and tackling injustice / inequality."
SIAMS (2022)
We values the view of our children and our school council is an important part of that pupil voice. Our councillors campaigned for their position and a secret ballot was used to elect each member and they have all signed a code of conduct contract.
