County Cricket Champions, county swimmers, equestrian finalists and much much more!​​

We have wonderful facilities for sports here at ECFS, with a huge green space for football goals and a tarmac netball court. It is important to us that we are inclusive and offer a broad choice of physical activities whilst fully aligning with the National Curriculum for PE. Our vast on-site Forest School also provides us enormous scope to explore outdoor adventure skills.

Over the years our pupils have been taught:

• Tennis by a World Champion.

• Dance by a British and International Champion.

• Sports mentality by a Paralympian. 

• Swimming by a Swim England Level 2 qualified coach.

• Karate Lessons

Exercise is integral to our school day and calendar, therefore, we organise extracurricular clubs, well-being weeks, physical residential, water sports, external cluster tournaments and many more. Swimming is taught here at Elmley Castle with our own Pop Up Swimming Pool, we take part in Bell Boating on the River Avon and learn Bike Ability in KS2.

Cricket is a particular favourite amongst the school, as is our 150-year old tradition of the Oak Apple maypole performance in May! We are very lucky to have staff who love to share their personal skills in hockey, netball, football and badminton with the children.
