Collective Worship & Church Links
Religious Education is taught throughout the school, based on the Worcestershire Syllabus for R.E (2020). During their time with us, the children cover aspect of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism.
As a Church of England school we value our Christian distinctiveness. All classrooms have a spiritual area which highlights core values that our school embodies and we learn a variety of Christian hymns and songs. Pupils and staff are welcome to pray daily.
Parents are invited to join us for Celebration Worship, where children have the opportunity to share the work they have been doing in class during the week. Selected pupils also receive certificates for promoting our key attributes and contributing to our school community.
Collective Worship:
Children attend a daily act of Collective Worship which is broadly Christian in nature.
Monday - Collective Worship led by Mrs Penney.
Tuesday - Collective Worship is led in class by teachers (current affairs/cultural capital)
Wednesday - Singing Worship
Thursday - Collective Worship led by Mr Jarvie and the Worship Team
Friday - Celebration Worship led by Mrs Penney and the children.

Our close links with local churches mean that we have regular visits and host special events such as the Easter Service, Christingle Service and Communion Worships. We also have Open the Book that is led by church members.
Parents are reminded that they have the right to withdraw their children from all or part of the Religious Education and Collective worship provided.
